Daily Prayers
These are the short supplications repeated throughout the day, gathered in one place. Each one is given with its original Arabic, its transliteration in Latin letters and its meaning in English, along with the recommended number of repetitions. The transliteration line helps those memorising; the meaning line sits right beside it for those learning what they recite.

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Elhamdülillâhillezî ahyânâ ba'de mâ emâtenâ ve ileyhin-nüşûr.
Praise be to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and unto Him is the resurrection.

When Leaving the House
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Bismillâhi tevekkeltü 'alellâhi, ve lâ havle ve lâ kuvvete illâ billâh.
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah; there is no might nor power except with Allah.

When Entering the House
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا، وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا، وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillâhi velecnâ, ve bismillâhi haracnâ, ve 'alellâhi Rabbinâ tevekkelnâ.
In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we place our trust.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Bismillâh

After Eating
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Elhamdülillâhillezî at'amenâ ve sekânâ ve ce'alenâ müslimîn.
Praise be to Allah who fed us and gave us drink, and made us Muslims.

When Entering the Toilet
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبْثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ
Bismillâhi, Allâhümme innî e'ûzü bike minel-hubsi vel-habâis.
In the name of Allah. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female devils (all filth and evils).

Allâhümme salli ve sellim 'alâ nebiyyinâ Muhammed.
O Allah, send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad.

Sübhânallâhi ve bi-hamdihî.
Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him. (Read for the forgiveness of sins, even if they are as vast as sea foam.)

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ... (سَيِّدُ الِاسْتِغْفَارِ)
Allâhümme ente Rabbî lâ ilâhe illâ ente, halaktenî ve enâ 'abdüke... (Seyyidül İstiğfar)
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant...

Morning and Evening Remembrance
رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا
Radîtü billâhi Rabben, ve bil-İslâmi dînen, ve bi-Muhammedin nebiyyen.
I am content with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as my Prophet.

Morning and Evening – Protection from Harm
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillâhillezî lâ yedurru me'asmihî şey'ün fil-ardı ve lâ fis-semâi ve hüves-semî'ul-'alîm.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm; He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

In Times of Distress and Morning/Evening
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ
Yâ Hayyü Yâ Kayyûmü bi-rahmetike esteğîsü, aslih lî şe'nî küllehû ve lâ tekilnî ilâ nefsî tarfete 'aynin.
O Ever-Living, O Self-Sustaining One, I seek Your help by Your mercy; set all my affairs in order and do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye.

100 Times a Day
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Lâ ilâhe illallâhü vahdehû lâ şerîke leh, lehül-mülkü ve lehül-hamdü ve hüve 'alâ külli şey'in kadîr.
There is no god but Allah alone, with no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. (Brings the reward of freeing ten slaves.)

اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اَللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
Allâhümme 'âfinî fî bedenî, Allâhümme 'âfinî fî sem'î, Allâhümme 'âfinî fî basarî, lâ ilâhe illâ ente.
O Allah, grant health to my body, to my hearing, and to my sight. There is no god but You.

Expiation of the Gathering
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
Sübhânekellâhümme ve bi-hamdike, eşhedü en lâ ilâhe illâ ente, estağfiruke ve etûbü ileyk.
Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise; I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and repent to You.

When Entering/Leaving a Place
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلَجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ
Bismillâhi, Allâhümme innî es'elüke hayral-mevleci ve hayral-mahraci.
O Allah, I ask You for the best entrance and the best exit.

When Stopping at a Place / In the Evenings
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
E'ûzü bi-kelimâtillâhit-tâmmâti min şerri mâ halak.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

When Setting Out on a Journey / Boarding a Vehicle
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ، وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ
Sübhânellezî sahhara lenâ hâzâ ve mâ künnâ lehû mukrinîn, ve innâ ilâ Rabbinâ lemünkalibûn.
Glory be to the One who has subjected this to us; we could not have done it ourselves. Indeed, to our Lord we shall return.

When Going to Sleep
بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ
Bismike Rabbî vada'tü cenbî ve bike erfe'uhû.
In Your name, my Lord, I lay down my side, and in Your name I raise it up.
