Morning Supplications

The morning has always been held as one of the most favoured times for supplication. This page gathers fifty prayers traditionally recited at daybreak, each given with its original Arabic text and its meaning in English. You will find the prayer of gratitude said upon waking, the supplications asking for goodness and well-being at the start of the day, the remembrances recited after the dawn prayer, and the prayers of refuge read for protection through the hours ahead. 1. أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ، بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ، اللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْـتَـنِي، وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ، أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ، وَأَبُوءُ لَكَ بِذَنْبِي، فَاغْفِرْ لِي، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ (٣) ۝

   I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no deity but You. You have created me, and I am Your servant. I keep Your covenant and promise as much as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have committed. I acknowledge Your blessings upon me and I confess my sins. Forgive me, for none forgives sins except You. (3 times)

2. بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِه۪ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ، وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (٣) ۝ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَذَرَأَ وَبَرَأَ ۝ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّةِ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ ۝

   In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm — He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (3 times) I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, produced, and made. I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil, every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye.

3. أَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ السَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ (٣) ۝ بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ هُوَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِي لَۤا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِۚ هُوَ الرَّحْمٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ ۝ هُوَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِي لَۤا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوسُ السَّلَامُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزِيزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَـكَـبِّرُۘ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ۝ هُوَ اللّٰهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ لَهُ الْأَسْمَۤاءُ الْحُسْنَىۘ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ۝

   I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, from the accursed Satan. (3 times) In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed. He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. He is Allah, other than whom there is no deity, the Sovereign, the Pure, the Peace, the Bestower of Faith, the Overseer, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah above what they associate with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Fashioner. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him. He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.

4. قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ أَحَدٌۚ ۝ اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُۚ ۝ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْۙ ۝ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ (٣) قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِۙ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَۙ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَۙ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ الـنَّـفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِۙ ۝ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ (٣) قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِۙ ۝ مَلِكِ النَّاسِۙ ۝ إِلٰهِ النَّاسِۙ ۝ مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِۙ ۝ اَلَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِۙ ۝ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ (٣) ۝

   Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent. (3 times) Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, from the evil of that which He created, and from the evil of darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the blowers in knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies. (3 times) Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the Sovereign of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers in the breasts of mankind, from among the jinn and mankind. (3 times)

5. فَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ ۝ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ ۝ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَكَذٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ۝

   So exalted is Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning. And to Him is all praise in the heavens and the earth, and at night and when you are at noon. He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.

6. اَللّٰهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ ۝ اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَـنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ ۝ سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذَنْبِي وَأَسْأَلُكَ رَحْمَتَكَ ۝ اَللّٰهُمَّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا، وَلَا تُزِغْ قَلْبِي بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْـتَـنِي، وَهَبْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ ۝

   O Allah! By Your grace we have reached the morning, by Your grace we have reached the evening, by Your grace we live and by Your will we die, and to You is the return. All praise is due to Allah, who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection. There is no deity but You; You have no partner. Glory be to You, O Allah! I seek Your forgiveness for my sin and I ask for Your mercy. O Allah, increase me in knowledge and do not turn my heart away after You have guided me, and grant me mercy from Your presence. Indeed, You are the Bestower.

7. اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أٰلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى أٰلِ سَيِّدِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ (١٠) ۝ اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أٰلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى أٰلِ سَيِّدِنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ (١٠) ۝

   O Allah! Send prayers upon our master Muhammad and upon the family of our master Muhammad, as You sent prayers upon our master Abraham and upon the family of our master Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. (10 times) O Allah! Bless our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad, as You blessed our master Abraham and the family of our master Abraham. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. (10 times)

8. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ أُشْـهِدُكَ وَأُشْـهِدُ حَمَلَةَ عَرْشِـكَ وَمَلَائِكَتَكَ وَجَمِيعَ خَلْقِكَ، بِأَنَّـكَ أَنْتَ اللّٰهُ الَّـذِي لَا إِلٰـهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُـولُكَ (٣) ۝

   O Allah! I have reached the morning calling You, the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels and all of Your creation to witness that You are Allah, other than whom there is no deity, and that Muhammad is Your servant and messenger. (3 times)

9. لَـبَّـيْكَ اللّٰهُمَّ لَـبَّـيْكَ، لَـبَّـيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ، وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ، وَمِنْكَ وَإِلَيْكَ ۝

   Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, and at Your service. All good is in Your hands, and it comes from You and returns to You.

10. اَللّٰهُمَّ مَا قُلْتُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ، أَوْ حَلَفْتُ مِنْ حَلِفٍ، أَوْ نَذَرْتُ مِنْ نَذْرٍ، أَوْ عَمِلْتُ مِنْ عَمَلٍ، فَمَشِيئَـتُكَ بَـيْنَ يَدَيْ ذٰلِكَ كُلِّه۪، مَا شِئْتَ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ تَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِكَ، إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ۝ اَللّٰهُمَّ مَا صَلَّيْتُ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ فَعَلَى مَنْ صَلَّيْتَ، وَمَا لَعَنْتُ مِنْ لَعْنٍ فَعَلَى مَنْ لَعَنْتَ، إِنَّكَ وَلِـيِّي فِي الدُّنْـيَا وَالْأٰخِرَةِ، تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ ۝

    O Allah! Whatever word I have spoken, oath I have sworn, vow I have made, or deed I have performed — Your will is over it all. What You will, is; and what You will not, is not. There is no might nor power except with You. Indeed, You are capable of all things. O Allah! Whatever prayer I have offered, let it be upon whom You have prayed upon; and whatever curse I have uttered, let it be upon whom You have cursed. You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter; take my soul as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.

11. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضَا بَعْدَ الْقَضَا، وَبَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَلَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ، وَشَوْقًا إِلَى لِقَائِكَ، مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ، وَلَا فِـتْـنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَعْتَدِيَ أَوْ يُعْتَدَى عَلَيَّ، أَوْ أَكْسِبَ خَطِيئَةً أَوْ ذَنْـبًا لَا يُغْفَرُ ۝

    O Allah! I ask You for contentment after Your decree, a comfortable life after death, the pleasure of looking upon Your Face, and the longing to meet You — without harm befalling me or any misguiding trial. I seek refuge in You from wronging or being wronged, from aggression or being subjected to it, from committing a mistake or an unforgivable sin.

12. اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ؛ فَإِنِّي أَعْهَدُ إِلَيْكَ فِي هٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْـيَا، وَأُشْهِدُكَ وَكَفَى بِكَ شَهِيدًا، إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، لَكَ الْمُلْكُ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ؛ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُكَ وَرَسُولُكَ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ وَعْدَكَ حَقٌّ، وَلِقَاءَكَ حَقٌّ، وَالسَّاعَةَ أٰتِـيَـةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا، وَأَنَّـكَ تَـبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ، وَأَنَّـكَ إِنْ تَـكِلْنِي إِلَى نَـفْسِي تَـكِلْنِي إِلَى ضَعْفٍ وَعَوْزَةٍ، وَذَنْبٍ وَخَطِيئَةٍ، وَإِنِّي لَا أَثِقُ إِلَّا بِرَحْمَتِكَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي كُلَّهَا، إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ ۝

    O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Lord of Majesty and Honour! In this worldly life I give You my pledge and call You as witness — and You are sufficient as witness. I bear witness that there is no deity but You; You are One, with no partner; to You belong the dominion and praise, and You have power over all things. I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Your servant and Messenger. I bear witness that Your promise is true, meeting You is true, and the Hour will surely come, about which there is no doubt, and that You will resurrect those in the graves. If You leave me to myself, You leave me to weakness, neediness, sin, and error. I trust only in Your mercy. So forgive all my sins, for none forgives sins but You. Accept my repentance, for You are the Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful.

13. اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ النَّوْمَ وَالْيَـقَظَةَ، اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي بَـعَـثَـنِي سَالِمًا سَوِيًّا، أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ۝

    All praise is due to Allah, who created sleep and wakefulness. All praise is due to Allah, who has raised me safe and sound, with all my limbs in their place. I bear witness that Allah resurrects the dead, and He is capable of all things.

14. أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلّٰهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ، وَالْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَالْعَظَمَةُ لِلّٰهِ، وَالْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ وَاللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَمَا يَسْكُنُ فِيهِمَا لِلّٰهِ وَحْدَهُ ۝

    We have entered the morning, and so has the entire dominion, belonging to Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic. All praise is due to Allah. All greatness and grandeur belong to Allah alone. Creation and command, the night and the day, and whatever dwells in them, all belong to Allah alone.

15. اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوَّلَ هٰذَا النَّهَارِ صَلَاحًا، وَأَوْسَطَهُ فَلَاحًا، وَأٰخِرَهُ نَجَاحًا، أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الدُّنْـيَا وَالْأٰخِرَةِ، يَا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ ۝

    O Allah! Make the beginning of this day one of peace and rectitude, its middle one of prosperity, and its end one of success. I ask You for the good of this world and the good of the Hereafter, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

16. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ (٣) ۝

    O Allah! I seek refuge in You from worry and grief. I seek refuge in You from incapacity and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness. I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and being oppressed by men. (3 times)

17. أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلّٰهِ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ ۝

    We have entered the morning, and so has the entire dominion, belonging to Allah, who has no partner. There is no deity but Him, and to Him is the return.

18. اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي وَشَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشَرَكِه۪، وَأَنْ أَقْـتَرِفَ عَلَى نَـفْسِي سُوءًا أَوْ أَنْ أَجُرَّهُ عَلَى مُسْلِمٍ(٤) ۝

    O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Lord and Sovereign of all things! I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of Satan and his schemes, and from bringing evil upon myself or causing it to reach any Muslim. (4 times)

19. يَا حَيُّ يَا قَـيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَـكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ ۝

    O Ever-Living, O Sustainer of existence! By Your mercy I seek help. Rectify all my affairs, and do not leave me to myself even for the blink of an eye.

20. اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ مَنْ ذُكِرَ، وَأَحَقُّ مَنْ عُبِدَ، وَأَنْصَرُ مَنِ ابْتُغِيَ، وَأَرْأَفُ مَنْ مَلَكَ، وَأَجْوَدُ مَنْ سُئِلَ، وَأَوْسَعُ مَنْ أَعْطَى؛ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، وَالْفَرْدُ لَا نِدَّ لَكَ، كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَكَ، لَنْ تُطَاعَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِكَ، وَلَنْ تُعْصَى إِلَّا بِعِلْمِكَ؛ تُطَاعُ فَـتَشْكُرُ، وَتُعْصَى فَـتَـغْـفِـرُ، أَقْـرَبُ شَهِيدٍ وَأَدْنَى حَفِيظٍ، حُلْتَ دُونَ النُّـفُوسِ، وَأَخَذْتَ بِالنَّوَاصِي، وَكَـتَـبْتَ الْأٰثَـارَ، وَنَسَخْتَ الْأٰجَالَ؛ اَلْقُلُوبُ لَكَ مُفْضِيَةٌ، وَالسِّرُّ عِنْدَكَ عَلَانِيَةٌ، اَلْحَلَالُ مَا أَحْلَلْتَ، وَالْحَرَامُ مَا حَرَّمْتَ، وَالدِّينُ مَا شَرَعْتَ، وَالْأَمْرُ مَا قَضَيْتَ، وَالْخَلْقُ خَلْقُكَ، وَالْعَبْدُ عَبْدُكَ، وَأَنْتَ اللّٰهُ الرَّؤُوفُ الرَّحِيمُ، أَسْأَلُكَ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ الَّذِي أَشْرَقَتْ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ، وَبِكُلِّ حَقٍّ هُوَ لَكَ، وَبِحَقِّ السَّائِلِينَ عَلَيْكَ، أَنْ تُقِيلَنِي فِي هٰذِهِ الْغَدَاةِ وَفِي هٰذِهِ الْعَشِيَّةِ، وَأَنْ تُجِيرَنِي مِنَ النَّارِ بِقُدْرَتِكَ

    O Allah! You are the Most Worthy to be remembered and the Most Worthy to be worshipped. You are the greatest Helper of those who seek help, the most compassionate of those in power, the most generous of those petitioned, and the most giving of those who give. You are the sole Owner and Sovereign of everything, without partner. You are the One unique in Your essence, with no equal. All besides You is bound to perish. You are obeyed only by Your leave, and You surely know those who disobey. When obeyed, You reward; when disobeyed, You forgive. You are the nearest witness and closest protector. You intervene before souls and hold their forelocks. You record people's deeds and decree their lifespans. Hearts disclose their secrets to You, so every hidden thing is apparent to You. What is lawful is what You have made lawful, and what is forbidden is what You have forbidden. The religion is what You have legislated, and the command is what You have decreed. Creation is Your creation, and the servant is Your servant. You are Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. By the light of Your Face, by which the heavens and the earth shine, by every right that is Yours, and by the right of those who ask of You, I beseech You to pardon me in this morning and in this evening, and to save me by Your power from the Fire.

21. حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ۬ لَۤا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۘ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ۝(٧) ۝

    Allah is sufficient for me. There is no deity but Him. I place my trust in Him, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. (7 times)

22. رَضِينَا بِاللّٰهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولًا؛ رَضِيتُ بِاللّٰهِ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا (٣) ۝

    We are pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Messenger. I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Prophet. (3 times)

23. اَللّٰهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِي مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أَوْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ، فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ ۝

    O Allah, whatever blessing has reached me this morning or anyone of Your creation, it is from You alone. You have no partner. To You belongs all praise and to You belongs all thanks.

24. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَجْأَةِ الْخَيْرِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فَجْأَةِ الشَّرِّ ۝

    O Allah, I ask You for unexpected good, and I seek refuge in You from unexpected evil.

25. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ مِنْكَ فِي نِعْمَةٍ وَعَافِـيَةٍ وَسَتْرٍ، فَأَتِمَّ نِعْمَتَكَ عَلَيَّ وَعَافِـيَـتَكَ وَسَتْرَكَ فِي الدُّنْـيَا وَالْأٰخِرَةِ ۝

    O Allah, I have reached this morning with Your favor, well-being, and covering of my sins. Complete Your favor, well-being, and covering for me in this world and the Hereafter.

26. رَبِّيَ اللّٰهُ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّٰهِ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ، عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ ۝ مَا شَاءَ اللّٰهُ كَانَ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ، أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ، ۝وَأَنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا۝ ۝

    My Lord is Allah. My trust is in Allah. There is no deity but Him; upon Him I rely, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne. There is no deity but Allah, the Most High, the Almighty. Whatever Allah has willed has come to pass, and whatever He has not willed has not occurred. I know that Allah is capable of all things and that Allah encompasses all things in His knowledge.

27. اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ، وَأَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ، مَا شَاءَ اللّٰهُ كَانَ، وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ، لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ ۝

    O Allah! You are my Lord; there is no deity but You. I place my trust in You alone. You are the Lord of the Mighty Throne. Whatever Allah has willed has come to pass, and whatever He has not willed has not occurred. There is no might nor power except with Allah, the Most High, the Almighty.

28. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَـفْسِي، وَمِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ أَنْتَ أٰخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَاۘ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ۝ ۝

    O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil of every creature whose forelock You hold. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path.

29. أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلّٰهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ، وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ۝

    We have entered the morning, and so has the entire dominion, belonging to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise, and He is capable of all things.

30. رَبِّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ مَا فِي هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَخَيْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِي هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ ۝

    My Lord! I ask You for the good of this day and the days after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the days after it.

31. رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَسُوءِ الْكِـبَـرِ ۝

    My Lord! I seek refuge in You from laziness and from the ills of old age.

32. رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِي النَّارِ، وَعَذَابٍ فِي الْقَبْرِ ۝

    My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave.

33. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ، اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ لَا إِلٰـهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ (٣) ۝ اَللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي، اَللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي، اَللّٰهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ (٣) ۝

    O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no deity but You. (3 times) O Allah, grant well-being to my body. O Allah, grant well-being to my hearing. O Allah, grant well-being to my sight. There is no deity but You. (3 times)

34. سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِه۪، لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ، مَا شَاءَ اللّٰهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ، أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ،۝ وَأَنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا۝۝

    Glory be to Allah and all praise to Him. There is no power except with Allah. Whatever Allah has willed has come to pass, and whatever He has not willed has not occurred. I know that Allah is capable of all things and that Allah encompasses all things in His knowledge.

35. أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا مُسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ۝

    We have reached the morning upon the natural disposition of Islam, the word of sincerity (Tawhid), the religion of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the faith of our forefather Ibrahim (peace be upon him), who was ever true in faith and a Muslim, and who was not among the polytheists.

36. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَسُوءِ الْكِبَرِ، وَفِـتْـنَةِ الدُّنْـيَا وَعَذَابِ الْأٰخِرَةِ، أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ۝

    O Allah! I seek refuge in You from laziness, senility, the ills of old age, the trials of this world, and the punishment of the Hereafter. We have entered the morning, and so has the entire dominion, belonging to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

37. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ، فَـتْحَهُ وَنَصْرَهُ وَنُورَهُ وَبَرَكَـتَـهُ وَهُدَاهُ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ وَشَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ ۝

    O Allah! I ask You for the good of this day: its victory, its support, its light, its blessing, and its guidance. I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that comes after it.

38. لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَاللّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ ۝

    There is no deity but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. There is no deity but Allah alone. There is no deity but Allah, who has no partner. There is no deity but Allah; to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. There is no deity but Allah; there is no might or power except with Allah.

39. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِـيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْأٰخِرَةِ ۝

    O Allah! I ask You for well-being in this world and in the Hereafter.

40. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِـيَةَ فِي دِيـنِي وَدُنْـيَايَ وَأَهْلِي وَمَالِي ۝

    O Allah! I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth.

41. اَللّٰهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِي وَأٰمِنْ رَوْعَاتِي ۝

    O Allah! Conceal my faults and grant me safety from my fears.

42. اَللّٰهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَـيْنِ يَدَيَّ وَمِنْ خَلْفِي وَعَنْ يَمِيـنِي وَعَنْ شِمَالِي وَمِنْ فَوْقِي، وَأَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي ۝

    O Allah! Protect me from in front of me and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your Majesty from being taken unaware from beneath me.

43. سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِه۪ سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ الْعَظِيمِ (١٠٠) ۝

    Glory be to Allah and all praise to Him. Glory be to Allah, the Most Great. (100 times)

44. سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ، اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ، لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ، اَللّٰهُ أَكْـبَرُ (١٠٠) ۝

    Glory be to Allah. All praise is due to Allah. There is no deity but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. (100 times)

45. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ صِحَّةً فِي إِيمَانٍ، وَإِيمَانًا فِي حُسْنِ خُلُقٍ، وَنَجَاحًا يَـتْـبَعُهُ فَلَاحٌ، وَرَحْمَةً مِنْكَ وَعَافِـيَـةً، وَمَغْفِرَةً مِنْكَ وَرِضْوَانًا ۝

    O Allah! I ask You for soundness in faith, faith adorned with good character, success followed by prosperity, mercy and well-being from You, and forgiveness and pleasure from Your presence.

46. اَللّٰهُمَّ حَبِّبْ إِلَيْنَا الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيِّـنْـهُ فِي قُلُوبِنَا، وَكَرِّهْ إِلَيْنَا الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ، وَاجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الرَّاشِدِينَ ۝

    O Allah! Make faith beloved to us and adorn it in our hearts, and make disbelief, transgression, and disobedience hateful to us. Make us among those who walk on the straight path.

47. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ نَفْسًا بِكَ مُطْمَئِـنَّـةً، تُؤْمِنُ بِلِقَائِكَ، وَتَرْضَى بِقَضَائِكَ، وَتَقْنَعُ بِعَطَائِكَ ۝

    O Allah, I ask You for a soul at peace with You, believing in Your meeting, content with Your decree, and satisfied with what You give.

48. اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ شَيْـئًا وَأَنَا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لَا أَعلَمُ (3) ۝

    O Allah! I seek refuge in You from knowingly associating anything with You, and I seek Your forgiveness for what I do not know. (3 times)

49. اَللّٰهُمَّ أَحْسِنْ عَاقِـبَـتَـنَا فِي الْأُمُورِ كُلِّهَا، وَأَجِرْنَا مِنْ خِزْيِ الدُّنْيَا وَعَذَابِ الْأٰخِرَةِ ۝

    O Allah! Make the outcome of all our affairs good, and protect us from disgrace in this world and from punishment in the Hereafter.

50. وَصَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى أٰلِه۪ وَأَصْحَابِه۪ أَجْمَعِينَ، أٰمِينَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ۝

    May Allah send His blessings upon our master Muhammad (peace be upon him), his family, and all his companions. Amin! And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
